Mr. Steffens, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer served as President of Southern Missouri Bancorp from October 2000 until July 2022 and as Chief Executive Officer since 2003. Prior to being elected President, Mr. Steffens served as Chief Financial Officer of Southern Missouri Bancorp. He is currently the Chairman of Southern Bank. Previously, Mr. Steffens was the Chief Financial Officer of Sho-Me Financial Corp. for four years, and before that Mr. Steffens was employed as a bank examiner with the Office of Thrift Supervision. As President, Mr. Steffens brings a special knowledge of the financial, economic, and regulatory challenges the Company faces and is well-suited to educate the Board on these matters.
